Wedding

Thank you to our wonderful photographers; Tony Nyberg, who took the formal photographs you'll see at the beginning of this page and to Nicholas Thorne, who took most of the group family and  other wedding photos. He also took the photos at the reception. Thanks too to all you lovely friends and family who have shared the photos that you took on the day!

The bouquet was made from vintage brooches and earrings. Nanma's Cameo is right at the top. Mum's silver earrings from the 70s are on the left. The heart pendant on the bracelet was made from Nanma's wedding ring. Jo helped me collect the brooches from markets and op shops and the others were collected from Trade Me.

Sam RB played her beautiful version of Wise Men Say Only Fools Rush In as Sarah walked down the aisle.

Madeleine (reading) and Eloise (illustration) read 'A Lovely Love Story' by Edward Monkton

Sarah's wonderful friend, Yaa, flew over from America for the wedding. She read Maya Angelou's "Touched by an Angel."

Robyn Allen Goudge, who we knew through Mainly Music classes for the girls, was our marriage celebrant. She surprised us by telling us it was her wedding anniversary.

Matthew Reid is one of Richard's old school friends. He flew up from Christchurch for the wedding with his wife Ollie. Matthew read an excerpt from Captain Correllis Mandolin by Louis de Bernieres.

It took us 10 years and 2 children but we finally tied the knot!

Making extra sure that he signs on the dotted line

Some of the girl's friends came down to see the ceremony

They did an impromptu parasol dance around Sarah
